About Me

Hi, I'm Franz. I'm a pharmacist and PhD candidate based in Leipzig, Germany, where my research focuses on computational drug discovery and vaccine design for viruses like Avian Influenza, SARS-CoV-2, and MERS-CoV.

Spending my days studying the structural mechanisms of these pathogens made me realize something: the science we do is incredibly complex, but the way we visualize it shouldn't be boring.

Because my background is rooted in actual virology, I don't just model abstract shapes. I take raw PDB data and molecular dynamics and use Blender, ChimeraX, and Python to translate them into accurate, cinematic artwork. My goal is simple: to make the data look as fascinating as the science behind it.
